Terminate Contract


Hello, I would like to terminate my contract with eneco as soon as possible. I don't want a new contract and don't want to move it to another place.

Could you help me, what do I have to do? I have a flex tarif.

Welcome at our forum and sorry to hear that your first message contains a termination. I will cancel the contract right away, you will receive an e-mail shortly to give us your final meterreadings and within six weeks your final invoice, also by e-mail.

I received the email for the meterstanden. Unfortunately, I am travelling until 22. January. The meterstanden are due on 07. January. Is it okay, if I send them on 22. January? Is there a way to arrange it. I've already tried to ask a neighbour but they are all gone as well...

If you don't provide us with the meter readings before 07-01, we will make an estimation of the usage. You will receive the final bill within six weeks after the termination. I advise you to check the readings and contact us if they don't match the real readings.

Thank you for your meterreadings. I've compared them with the ones on your final invoice and they are quite similar. Therefore the invoice is definite and all is finished now.

A few days before the end of your contract, you will receive a form to fill in the meter readings.
Within 4-6 weeks after that, we will make the final invoice.

May I also do a request here to terminate my contract with Eneco. Recently I moved to a new place and for this new one I want to terminate. The problem was I wasn't able just to close within the process of "verhuizen".

That's possible! I see a contract for Eijmersp...straat. Is that the one you mean to terminate? Can you tell me what the enddate is?

Yes, I would like to terminate it for Eij....straat from 29th of April, or if it is not possible to do it before today, then today.

You get the form a couple days in advance. In the case you don't have the form on the day you have to take the meterreadings just take the meter readings and write them down. You can also call them through or give them to us on this forum.
Hello, I am leaving the place where I currently live and I have to do something with my ENECO contract.

In case I convince the new tenants to stay with Eneco will I get any Benefit? Can we simply tranfer the contract to the name of the new tenant?

Unfortunately there's no bennefit for you if you convince the new tenant do sign up with us. It's up to them to contact us for a new contract. For you it's important to let us know (about 2 weeks in advance) when your contract has to end.

Clear on that point. Sad that you did not foreseen such situation in your policies. Considering the above, I would like to stop my contract as soon as possible.

Please let me know the termination date and any following details.

Did you already move out of the appartment? If that's not the case, I advise you to not end the contract yet. As long as you rent or own the place, you need to have an energy supplier. If not, the grid operator can cut off the connection.

It's not possible to change the owner, the new owner needs to start a new contract. If you now when you handover the keys, you can inform us so we can arrange the termination of the contract for you.
The handover will be on Monday the 12th. Will appreciate if we can terminate it then or as soon as possible.

Okay! I terminate the contract. You receive an e-mail with a request for the meterreadings. In 2 or 3 weeks you receive the final amount by e-mail.
That's it!
